  1.    This option allows you to produce a list of absentees in the
  2. current session. These are produced under tutor group headings and
  3. clicking printer before selecting this option will produce a paper
  4. printout. If you produce an absence list straight after registration,
  5. posting it in the staff room should enable staff to check that there
  6. are no absences additional to this. This means that internal truancy
  7. becomes very difficult as students are very likely to be discovered.
  8. In fact it may be feasible to let students register themselves given
  9. the fact that anyone registered and not present is easily picked up.
